Before you arrive in the UK, no doubt you will have researched your course, but you may still feel nervous about what to expect. It is a good idea to join social networking sites such as Facebook where you may be able to join groups relating to your university or course, to enable you to get in contact with other students before you arrive. This way you will already have some friends before you even enter the UK! Another option is to get in contact with the university directly, where you will usually have a representative assigned to help with your transition. Whilst in the UK there are a lot of resources available to you to offer support with your studies. Do some research on the university website, there maybe a student support centre, an international office, or even something more specific like English language help for foreign students.
